Tuesday May 17th, 2022 @ Scandinavian Centre – Viking Hall upstairs

Doors open at 4:30, Parade at 5:00, Bar opens at 5:30, dinner at 6:30. Short program and music after Dinner. Dinner tickets must be bought by May 7. $10/youth age 15 and under, $25/non-member, $20/member. Younger children and those not staying for Dinner are free – but please register for room set up & capacity purposes. Tickets available by calling Alison/Russ 403 283-1299 – Payments may be dropped in the Scandinavian Centre Mailbox on 20th Ave Entrance and Tickets will then be held at the door.

Scandinavian Choir – 2022


Spring Session April & May 2022 – Fall Session starts in September 2022

If you like to sing, come and join our Scandinavian Choir. Learn Nordic folk music and pronunciation at Wednesday practices from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Scandinavian Centre. Srs Yoga @ Scan Centre SUSPENDED


PROGRAM SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID until further notice – Looking at restarting Spring 2022.

Free Yoga for Seniors @ Scan Centre – Tuesdays  10:00 am – 11:00 am and Thursdays 11:00 am – 12:00 noon  – requires registration.  Coffee, Cookies and Conversation to follow.  All seniors 60 years + are welcome to participate one day per week – limited to a max 30 persons / class.   Participants need to Register by phone or email before attending a class to confirm if space is available.

Registration includes confirming your name and contact information and preference for Tuesday or Thursdays.  Also include dates you will be away within the next 3 months to optimize scheduling of full 30 participant classes.  You will be contacted by email or phone when spots come available.  Call if you have any questions.

The yoga instructor is a professional from the Yoga Santosha studio with many years of experience.  Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. All other Yoga Resource materials are supplied – balls, blocks, straps & bolsters. See you there! Youth Choir (7-14 yrs old) – SUSPENDED until September 2022


SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID – may restart in September 2022

Youth Choir for 7 – 14 year olds.  Mondays 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm from Sept to Dec and Jan to May. Here is a fun way to learn to sing, meet people, gain confidence and earn the admiration of parents and family.  Scandinavian Centre 739-20th Ave NW  T2M 1E2.  Minimal cost – sponsored by the Scandinavian Cultural Society.  Pianist and Director will lead the choir and teach/promote basic choral skills.

Performances: Include – Spring & Christmas Choir Concerts (Feature Seasonal Songs & Scandinavian Selections) @ Scandinavian Centre
