Welcome!  – The Scandinavian Centre  is a Cultural Community Hall located in NW Calgary.  Our Hall Rentals are available to the public for Wedding Receptions and private Events.  We provide a facility for our Internal Scandinavian / Nordic Groups  from Finland, Iceland, Norway & Sweden to meet and provide their cultural activities and events.  The Scandinavian Cultural Society hosts events such as the Annual Scandinavian Choir Concerts, Stampede Breakfast and Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar.

Srs Yoga @ Scan Centre

PROGRAM Tuesdays - Yoga for Seniors @ Scan Centre - Tuesdays 10 am - 11 am  - requires registration.  Coffee, Cookies and Conversation to follow.  All seniors 60 years + are welcome to participate one day per week - limited to a max 30 persons / class.   Participants need to Register by email before attending a class to confirm if space is available.  (If you were registered in previous session - you may re-register in August before the new September session starts in person or email scanctr@telus.net) CLASS IS FULL with a waiting list of 6 + seniors - so [...]

Scandinavian Adult Choir – 2025

Winter/Spring Session Wednesdays  - Jan 8 to May 2, 2025. Fall Session Wednesdays - Sept 10 - Dec 5, 2025 Choir Concerts - 1st Friday of December and May of each year - Admission is $10 If you like to sing, come and join our Scandinavian Choir. Learn Nordic folk music and pronunciation at Wednesday practices from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Scandinavian Centre. Youth Choir (8-14 yrs old)

Winter / Spring Session - Wednesday, January 15, 2025 to May 2, 2025 Fall Session - Wednesday, September 10, 2025 to December 5, 2025 Youth Choir for 8 - 14 year olds.   Wednesdays  5:30 pm - 6:45 pm in 2 sessions from Sept to Dec and Jan to May. 2025 Sons of Norway Syttende May Celebrations @ Scandinavian Centre

Syttende mai: Details and costs to be confirmed by Sons of Norway Saturday May 17th. Previous Activities (To be Confirmed for this year) include Parade and games from 5-6 p.m., supper and program beginning at 6 p.m. The picnic-style supper is $15 per person or 2/$25, and free for under age 12. 2025 Scandinavian Christmas Choir Concert

Christmas Choir Concert with Adult & Youth Choir - Friday, December 5, 2025 - 7:00 pm @ Scandinavian Centre.  Tickets $10 CASH at the Door or in advance from the Office. (Door opens at 6:30 pm)  no charge for Children, however they need a (free) ticket for Hall Capacity Reasons.  Doors open at 6:30 pm General Admission Seating.  Explore Nordic Culture with an entertaining evening of songs including coffee and a taste some Christmas Treats.
