Warm greetings to the members and clubs with the Scandinavian Centre,

I’m pleased to let you know that the group called “The WARDENS” will bring their music from the mountains to the Scandinavian Centre in Calgary on November 22.

Three men who have spent their careers protecting the wilderness of the National Parks will perform their own songs, tell gripping stories, and share some humor about warden life.

The WARDENS have a very personal connection for me. My Dad was a warden in Banff National park for 30 years, during an era when the wardens lived year round in the backcountry. They were often stationed with their families in wilderness cabins, and all the work was done on horseback. The WARDENS through their songs and stories help preserve the history and the culture of that era.

There will be a display of warden artifacts, and refreshments will be provided.

Good entertainment and a good time with friends are promised, and I really look forward to seeing you at the event.

Happy Trails,

The Wardens Concert – Nov 22 3:15 pm2017-02-09T00:10:54+00:00
